Tinker Hatfield! Birdman!(random lol) Bobby Hundreds! I highly doubt we'll get somebody as high up as Tinker but the possiblity of Bobby is not too far fetched considering that at the conclusion of the contest they'll be renting out a space somewhere in the Melrose area to Showcase all of our work for a few weeks and knowing that its in that area it has the potential for celebs to roll through...It's all just wishful thinking in my opinion, but knowing the connections that SC mag has in the sneaker industry WHO KNOWS...
Journey - "Don't Stop Believin" was stuck in my head all day long yesterday after it came on the radio. I really shouldn't even be on here right now. I have homework due in 4 hours that I haven't even started. On that note I shall bounce like a rubber ball.
I've always been weary about all the stupid 3rd party application requests that I get flooded with everyday in my notifications, and I ignore and block all of them. This is precisely the reason why
I just got a notification today for this malware and was lucky enough to see through it that it was not a official facebook app. If you get any Notifications asking to add an "error check application" just ignore it or delete it. Its spyware/malware in disguise. Just thought I'd throw this alert out there for the very few readers who read this thing lol.
Now I don't really care about the actual team LOL but I grew up on all the Mighty Ducks movies and was obsessed with them(I remember I had all three of them on LASER DISC). I bought roller blades, a goalie net, hockey sticks, and a puck and was into street hockey for quite a while. I even attempted to learn how to do the famous "knuckle puck". hahaha. I love buying stuff that holds so much nostalgia behind it. Makes me feel like a kid again. OG Starter Jackets FTMFW! Time to bring em back!

I think phrases like "you wanna shake" or "Let's bounce" are two phrases that I've tried to infuse into my everyday vocab to try to look cooler. I'm probably failing miserably. I tend to say "fasho" on AIM alot but have never actually used it in normal conversion because of the fear that I will just look stupid. hahaha.

OG Huarache LE's from most likely the early to late 90's that I found at Goodwill in Carson for $8. $8 Dollars! That's like the price of lunch! What a steal...One man's trash is another man's treasure. I threw some URL insoles in there and they feel like walking on pillows. I've probably rocked these 5 days out of the week last week and like more than half of the week so far this week. Yeah they look beat, but to me they're "ripe" and already broken in, UBER comfy. I am definitely on the prowl to pick up more of these off ebay...
Now if Fairey wins the case I'm safe for my t-shirt designs. haha. I tend to use existing photography images from the net and make my own vectors on top of them and basically do what Fairey does. I'm aware you can buy rights for different photos but I'll try to skate by without spending any money.
Besides that, has anybody watched the news lately? I've forgotten how depressing watching your local news station can actually be. I think within the 30 minute period I was offhandedly paying attention while eating dinner, I recall about 5 different murders, thousands upon thousands of layoffs from different companies(even police departments and fire stations!) due to this economic depression, and just more overall depressing news. The craziest violent story I heard was about a little grade school girl who was shot in South L.A. while sitting at home DOING NOTHING BUT HER HOMEWORK. Supposedly the gunman had targeted the home and just started raining shots through the front window. What kinda crazy world do we live in where you can't even sit in the peace of your own home and do your homework! The news is just so depressing nowadays. It's almost like no news is good news. As much as I want to try and stay up to date with the latest current events going on in the world nowadays, its stuff like that, that just make me want to turn off the TV. I guess that's why I like watching BBC news more than US news. For one, I like, no wait, LOVE their accents (LOL) and two, their approach to everything on the US comes from a bit more of a non objective point of view. They aren't swayed by the emotional aspects of stories and tend to stick straight to the facts better. But yeah this was the first time in a long time I watched local news and was surprised how many people can actually sit through this stuff. There's no wonder why we're all so desensitized to a lot of things.
Tomorrow I plan on buying myself a box of chocolate and feeding it to my girl Maya while watching Sleepless in Seattle. LOL. How depressing especially since Maya is just the name of the 3D program I use. Therefore I will be spending all day with her tomorrow working on demo reel stuff. hahaha.
Well I thought I'd repost if you haven't seen it already...
I give up looking for romance at this point like I've previously stated in my last blog. I was kinda in the mood but now the spirit is just gone and I'm trying to stay away from it all. Trying to make somebody like you is about as pointless as trying to control who you fall in love with. You just can't bend two puzzle pieces together until they fit. Things are just gonna happen when the time is right, and I shouldn't be trying to force anything to happen. Haha what a cornball statement but it's true.
[stole this thought partially from Alan] Why can't Valentine's Day be like it used to be in Elementary school where you could just put up a brown paper bag with your name on it and everybody takes their turn sharing the love giving candy to everybody and impersonal generalized and vague messages to you even if they didn't like you? At least you got candy and you felt somewhat special for receiving something even if that person didn't give a damn about you. LOL. Well needless to say I'm probably gonna stay indoors tomorrow and avoid all the face sucking that's probably gonna be all over the place. I'm just gonna sit in my room and play sad yet uplifting songs all day on my guitar or on my mp3 player to get through the day. I have no idea why I'm sharing this with you but I'm just being real. hahaha. At least I'll have all the All Star Weekend stuff going on to keep me company.
But in all honesty I love Valentine's Day even though I have nobody to share it with this year. It's a time to show some love and appreciation in this world, something I feel is quite lacking nowadays. Fellas if you've got a girl, let em know how you feel and mean it. No need for fronting on staying hard. You're only human. If you've got somebody to hold you down, show them that there efforts mean something to you. Show the youngins what the word "love" should mean.

Well no matter how bitter I may be about love at the moment I still wish everybody who has a somebody to share the day with to have a WONDERFUL day.
Since there's no school today, I figured I'd blog. So yesterday I went to work feeling a bit of the Valentine's day Spirit so I figured hey, I might as well make the most of this spirit while its still here and try and talk to this girl who I thought was pretty cute. So I was kinda waiting for the 30 minute break in class to come so I could approach her, and just try to get to know her. The break comes and I'm kinda nervous so I go the registrar at the beginning of break to pick up my sheets for registration next quarter and to kinda walk off/shake off that anxiety. Well as I'm standing at the window at the registrar, I see one of the guys who is in the class walk by with a bouquet of flowers in one hand and a teddy bear in the other so I figure that's tight he's probably gonna deliver it to somebody. So I'm walking back to class and low and behold he had sang and delivered the flowers and bear for a friend to the girl I was gonna attempt to talk to. BURN...How depressing huh? What are the odds...lol. Killed the spirit major. At that point I was just angry and bitter about romance so I proceeded to listen to angry music and then slowly made my way to more uplifting songs. LOL. I kinda give up for now on trying to look for any romance in my life, and today has left me even more bitter than I was. Even if I did try to talk to the girl it probably would have looked a little something like this:
On that note, time to watch some NBA ALL STAR WEEKEND! I'm pysched!

Well today I was feeling sick, I had a running nose, cough, was sneezing, and nasal congestion, sore throat a little, I just overall felt like death when I woke up and my lips where really dry for some reason so they cracked and started bleeding the second I let out my first yawn of the day. What a wonderful way to start the day! hahaha. Anyways, I ended up surviving my first class and so I decided to go to Mitsuwa and CVS to get some dayquil to survive the day. As I was leaving CVS KCi and Jojo's "All My Life" came on the loud speaker so I forced myself to stay and listen to the song. I don't know why but I was really enjoying humming the song to myself. I guess its because they had all this Valentine's Day candy on sale and it just put me in a cornball mood. hahaha. I'm sure I looked like a psycho if you saw me. Currently I don't have a Valentine for Valentine's Day but don't know if I really want one even. Although I'm kinda talking to somebody who has struck my interest even though I'm not even looking for any kind of relationship at this point in my life. She's kinda been on my mind. She's a pretty cool polar bear ;p But if all else fails I'll be spending the day loving myself. lmao. that's pathetic. I'm a bit bitter about love anyway for the time being unless somebody wants to change my mind other wise. So I was feeling semi good from the song so I treated myself to a valentine's day nerds rope. I'm getting good at being by myself again but having somebody around wouldn't hurt to be honest.
Anyways upon paying for my dayquil I noticed a little note attached to my receipt which said "STOP TEEN COUGH MEDICINE ABUSE" and all I could think of was what is this world coming to!? Kids are using cough medicine for methods on feeling lifted? Supposedly there is a new rule that you need to be 18 or older to purchase any cough medicine with dextrometha- blah blah whatever in it. I would take a picture of my receipt cause it was so funny but I accidentally threw it away. All I could think of was fuckin Lil Wayne and it's probably his fault that these warnings have been put into effect since he drinks that "lean" which I know contains some kind of over the counter type cough medicine. here's what I'm talking about:
To end today's ramblings I shall say that I accidentally skipped work today because I thought I could take a 20 min nap before work and ended up waking up 3 hours later. hahaha. I think that's a good sign that I need more rest to cure myself from this impurity residing in my body. On that note I'm chuckin that deuce.
